Kristina Grozeva
Kristina Grozeva is a Bulgarian film director, screenwriter and producer. She graduated in Journalism from Sofia University before studying Film and Television Directing at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts under Prof. Georgi Dyulgerov. Before turning to filmmaking, she worked as a television journalist, an experience that has had a lasting influence on her cinematic voice. Her films explore the moral dilemmas of contemporary life through a distinctive blend of social realism, dark humour and subtle irony. Together with Petar Valchanov, she is the co-creator of some of the most successful and internationally acclaimed Bulgarian films, including The Lesson (2014), Glory (2016), The Father (2019), Triumph (2024) and Black Money for White Nights (2025).
